Does the ADR Association conduct Mediation Training?
Yes. We do Mediation Skills Training for organizations/groups on request and in 2018 we will be doing training for the public at least once a year.

Does the Mediation Training make me a Mediator?
The mediation training gives you exposure and some role-play practice in the skills mediators use and takes you through the process that mediators use during a "typical" mediation. However, you will need to complete a Basic and Advanced Mediation Training and go through (and be evaluated on and pass) a specified number of practicums (i.e. real mediations) to be able to call yourself a Mediator as recognized by the ADR Association of Barbados Inc.

Does the ADR Association do mediations also?
We certainly do! We have a list of mediators for you to choose from to have a mediation conducted. Alternatively, and for a discounted price, you can have your Mediation done through our Community Mediation Program which is for both our regular and newly-trained mediators. (Note that you cannot select your mediator under this program - one is assigned to you). Contact us to learn more about our Community Mediation Program.
